I talking about the people that savor the thought of pointing out a mistake another person makes, even a small mistake they just can't wait to point out the obvious.

I know little kids do this but I'm talking about full grown adults who love to find an error of some type them sound the alarm that a mistake was found...

why is that?

People who routinely point out others' mistakes do so because they're insecure. They may be insecure about their own abilities, or (if it happens in the workplace) they may be worried that their boss/supervisor will recognize other workers' achievements, but ignore theirs.

This happens even when another person's mistake has no effect on you. For example, if a person seeks out another person's boss (even though they are in completely different departments) and tells the boss about a co-worker's mistake. The action accomplishes nothing, except to make the "tattler" feel a bit better about himself.

These people have to have a way of feeling like they are in control. If you screw they will let everyone know. I know a person like this and they like to remind me of when I forget something little or make a mistake. But what they don't realize is that one day I'm going to get tired of it and let all their little mistakes be known. Not that I'm vengeful I'm just going to give them a taste of their own medicine.

So they can feel good about themselves, make themselves look superior (they think), or to make other people feel bad.
It stems from a feeling of inadequacy.
Some take this to an extreme: there are people who are such emotional vampires that they cannot survive without making other people miserable. It is thought that they actually get an adrenaline rush by making other people unhappy.

It is human nature to correct. We do it to our kids all of our lives, and it is something that we learn as children, and we carry that on with us forever. It's scary, I agree, but we all do it, usually with-out even thinking about it. The other point is by nature, humans compete, and to correct someone, makes them feel that they are better. And it allows some to show off, no matter who gets their feelings hurt.

Mistakes R likely 2B repeated very often if not pointed out & ignored, hence for the sake of improvising it & to stop it occuring again, it's for the betterment of everyone, that someone points it out, must accept it honestly, & take it positively with thanks.
