I don't know why everyone get's upset about the "N" word. If black folks wouldn't react to it, there would be no problem. It's like the "C" word. I've been called a cracker and white bread and I was not offended because I chose NOT to be offended. It's a choice. In fact the "N" word comes from an actual word meaning black (***** or niger) and even in other languages, it means black. For instance, Alnold Schwartznigger....his last Austrian name means "black farmer". Everyone is wrong on this one. If the word offends your friends, don't use it. Just drop it from the vocabulary. I wish we all would. Godloveya.

I've only said it in the context of referring to something that's been written out, like in literature. Like, "In this book, X calls Y a n****, which is a cultural artifact of the time." I feel extremely uncomfortable even writing it, so I don't. I would never say it. I'm not sure if I would get jumped per se, but both other Caucasians and African-Americans would react very badly.

Uh, only like twice in my entire life... only around my mom, something like....

"It's not like I was calling ____ a N---- or anything..."

BTW- try writing like you actually know English... your question was a little hard to understand. If you don't want to be called ignorant or uneducated, don't talk/write like you were never taught spelling or grammar. Yeah, I know I'll get a couple thumbs-down for it, but hey, at least I know how to spell "this"...

Yes, but it was a formal debate about race at college; and I've read aloud some racial jokes.

I've never used it from a racist perspective.

If, by the "n" word, you mean "no".
I say it to my kids all the time.
It's their most hated word.
