She only wants you to be safe. To reassure her, maybe you can tell her that she can drop you guys at the concert and promise her that you'll be back at a certain time. Good luck!

lots of people r in this situation. your mum is probably worried that u r goin with a 16 yr old but here r some ideas
u could go with a group of friends to see the concert or just go somewhere else with this person, have your mom meet the guy if she hasn't so then she won't be as worried

As a parent, my answers would be the same as hers. You are to young and she worries about you because she loves you. I know it's difficult to understand.
My daughters really wanted to go to a concert, we said NO and they got really pissed. Well, their friends rolled their car over on the way back from the concert and two of them got killed. Were we wrong in saying no?

Why do you need to go? Do you really love concerts, or are you in love with him? If you are in love with him, be passionately patient, there could be lots of time for getting you two together, having fun, even stimulate each other in a theater. But if you want to enjoy the concert, don't go with him. You are not gonna focus on the concert while you are together. believe me.
You may ask you Mom to let you two take her to the theater with you!

Let your mom meet the 16 year old mate you want to go with. This may help calm her nerves about the situation.

your mum is only thinking of your welfare you are at a very young age to be going with someone only 2 years older you both need to be going with someone who is more mature and can make sure you are safe imagine how your mum and dad would feel if something bad happened to you she would never be able to forgive herself try inviting her or another responsible adult along don,t give your parents grief you will be the same one day caring for your children

All you can do is ask her. If she doesn't know your mate, then you should invite your mate over for dinner so everyone can get to know each other. If your mother won't let you go, you should trust her instincts.

just talk to her about it...she might be more understanding than you think. If she's not, sneak out of the house and go anyway, you'll get in trouble, but that's what being a teenager is all about, right?
