Why only Indian housewives - some of any community would be pretending to be doing hard work. Well - in the Indian country context - where domestic help is easily available and gadgets do all the grinding - It is more common to find the so-called 'pretending to be busy' category. Well - dont men ever 'pretend to be busy' ???!

ALL housewives work very hard to keep the house clean, run errands and look after the kids....it's hard to "pretend" to be busy when you have all of those things on your plate.

are you not an indian . they realy do that's why you see a large majority of houses are well cultured and managed where you find a housewife , and opposite to that observe some houses where the wives are in a job or in outdoor activities there home lacks the family kind of thing every thing is upon the servent there house is run by the servents so the children and the nature of the house changes

Indian housewives are use to preparing 3 elaborate meals a day from scratch.
They may have other responsibilities.

in order 2 under stand an indian house wife u hv to be one u c every one finds their work hard and blieve me i thought the same way but no wi think different couz i had 2 do my moms work 4 a week when she was sick
try doing 4 one day

Oh that's just silly... A lot of people in India are not rich... sure there are some families who can afford the maid and driver, but they are in the minority. There are others who have none of that, who live in apartments and the wife must also work, not to mention the huge group suffering extreme poverty there.
