She writes "Building a Mystery" This sounds like a criminal mind to me."I am tr\ired of the strait life full of beggars and thieves" if she thinks beggers and thieves are strait what is her idea of crooked? Is she gay? please tell me what you think as soon as you can ,it is weighing hevily on my mind. Thank you in advance for your time. PS Isnt it creepy how many things that are beautiful are illusions and deceptions that manipulate our material world and slip in under the radar? Am I the only one who can see this ? Shurly not.

No I don't think her songs are spooky, deeply haunting and thoughtful yes, but spooky like Scooby Doo seeing as Ga Ga Gaaa Ghost? Nope!!!!

1) It's McLachlan

2) "I am tired of the straight life full of beggars and thieves" Denotes not that beggars and thieves are all right, but rather that a straight life is beset by beggars and thieves.

Perhaps you should listen to her other songs, like the one that goes "your love is better than ice cream." That strikes me as decidedly uncreepy.

And, no, she is not a lesbian. She is married.

I supposes spooky would be a good descriptive word for the songs... another would be .... UH weird.. In general, I am not a fond admirer of her songs

She's just mysterious, and an amazing singer/songwriter, too.

Don't go about judging people just because you don't understand them. You don't like the song, then don't listen to it.
