I already know the how, as I have an incurable disease. Barring a sudden bus accident, that's what will be taking me out. I know how the end stage of this disease manifests itself because I used to care for patients when I was healthy. (No, it isn't a contagious disease, just bad luck)

The when part, nah. It really doesn't matter. It's not like I have the means to go accomplish a bunch of things I always wanted to do before I die. My Sox won the Series last year, and that was more than I could have ever hoped for.

Yes I would want to find out because if I were to die of something that was curable...then I would be able to have a doctor try to cure myself and then I'd live even longer! But if it wasn't something that a doctor could cure then I would do anything and everything that I either would never think of doing (like sky diving, etc..) and do it all before I died.

Yes. Knowing when and how is one thing; believing absolutely what you found is another thing. Of course everybody know they must die sooner or later, but don't want to accept it; because then, all kinds of limitations come into play and apply to the freedom of enjoying life the way you want to. Knowing when and how will help organize your enjoyment of life in more predictable ways.

No. I want to live my life to the fullest. And if I knew I'd be stressed out until it happened. Not a good way to go out.

No. Not 'cause I like surprises, but because if we knew then everything in our lives would be in anticipation of that moment. Best to leave it as a mystery and live every day as though it's your last.

Boy! That's a tough one... Prob'ly not, because then your ilfe would revolve around its very end, and you'd probably try to avoid it anyway, unless you really wanted to die... On the other hand, however, if it was to be soon, I guess it would be good to know so you could resolve some unfinished business. Dunno, really. Sorry.

You certainly got me thinking, though.
