1 John Chapter 4 Beloved, do not trust every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
This is how you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ come in the flesh be longs to God,
and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus Christ does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world.
You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
They belong to the world; accordingly, their teaching belongs to the world, and the world listens to them.
We belong to God, and anyone who knows God listens to us, while anyone who does not belong to God refuses to hear us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of deceit.
**(Jesus is not just a prophet! The prophets PROPHESIED about the coming of Jesus Christ!)*

Read further in your Bible in 1st John 4:3
Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God; everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.
Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love.
In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him.
In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another.
No one has ever seen God. Yet, if we love one another, God remains in us, and his love is brought to perfection in us.

littleflower, As a follower of God, it is OUR duty to spread the word...IT IS MY GREATEST JOY! You feel dead inside...You too can have the Holy Spirit! Just ask the Holy Creator in Jesus Christ's name, see what happens. I pray for your salvation. I know you are not a true follower of Jesus Christ or you would not even think of posting that responce. Use Caution, it says in the Holy Bible, we are "accountable for every idle word that we speak." Try it, you'll like it, I promise.

Tregan#2, You have a very bad air about you. Thick heavy stench. Do you wear Patcholi, or are breathing okay as of late?
Maybe all of the above. You poor thing.
Anyway on to your question, They found many an ancient manuscript to prove the text is viable. Stop playing around, good is good and bad is bad. You don't really want to be ashamed of your self when you make an accounting in heaven? It's not too late. God is a forgiving God of Miracles. Pray in the name of Jesus Christ to the Holy Creator for a Holy Cleansing, from the Holy Spirit.
Trust me you will NOT regret it. This is for you my darling. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

sweetcalabam, You obviously did not read my entire post, in light of the spirit of truth. You are way to defensive. No where do I say anything bad about muslim's, I only QUOTE THE BIBLE! I know this is difficult for you. I realize this becuase it states in the Bible that "Faith" is one of the spiritual gifts! Sorry for you. JESUS IS the light and the truth and the way! You may have been raised Catholic but you NEVER got on YOUR knees and prayed and asked Jesus Christ into your heart and held your Bible against your beating heart and with your whole heart and soul asked God with your entire breathe for the Holy Spirit to show you the Truth! I know this because of your blasphemous responce. Shame on you, God deserves better. Besides, maybe you are running away from the truth because a certain bad habbit that you do not want to give up or a wrong belief that's what it is. You complicate things too much! It is all in your Bible! Oh yah, satan is a liar! Fool! Stop doing the devils work!

Seriously, the Angel Gabriel said to the Virgin Mary you shall be with child and "He shall be called the Son of the Most High" So when Christians call Jesus Christ the Son of God we are fulfilling the prophesy!
With Love and for God's Glory- Golden Truth Teller!

For those who seem to be antagonistic to your statements; perhaps if they would read the Bible, they would see that those prophecies are being fulfilled presently and continue to build up to what no one really wants. One has to consider; when there is a civilization that appears to be totally brainwashed and compelled to abide by the dictates of the Mulla's twisted reality, there are problems that remain insurmountable. What is to be, will be; according to those same prophecies. For those who doubt the seriousness of the world situation only need to become familiar with what is being found out in the UK. Terrorists being recruited from 3rd generation Pakistanis. The threat continues... again right in step with those same prophecies.

Evidently it is going to take a very severe attack to have some of these people realize just what is prompting the Islamic Jihad.. By a people who remain victims of their own faith.

I have to compliment you on being sincere enough to actually lay it out on the line, for those unbelievers

I agree with the people that state that you offer no evidence and that you the book you quote is incorrect because of the human hands that have incorrectly translated it.

If you study, truly study, with an open mind all of God's books in their true language without translation you may discover the truth, but you first must have an open mind and believe that you could possibly be wrong in what you have been raised to believe.

Now this is very difficult for most, most just keep believing what is accepted by our society to be correct. We do not want to go against the grain or against our teachings. Imagine going against our parents and our friends, years of learning about God and it all ends up being wrong, how can that be? We want to be accepted and blend into our society, in order to lead a successful life we must, life is better for us if we just assimilate.

If you really took the time to learn about Muslims you would see what I have, they are good people. They do acknowledge Jesus as a prophet along with other prophets, they put God first, which if you just look you will see it is what we are supposed to do. Simply look at the Ten Commandments, the first commandment is Thou Shall Not Worship No Other gods Before Me. Yet many put Jesus first, does that really make sense? Jesus was human, yes I realize that he is said to be "the son of God" but if you look you'll see it a miss translation, we are all the son's of God, we are all to live our life as Jesus did, to serve him, but we took the words and twisted them all up and now we are blindly following what our ancestors taught us and now teaching our children the same WRONG things.

I am not a Muslim, but I read all the books of God and am searching for the truth. I was raised a Catholic, studied other religions such as Baptist, Lutheran and Jehovah's Witness, it's been a very challenging journey to go against what I was raised, my parents have a difficult time with it and they feel they've failed in the job as raising another good Catholic. I teach my children about God, the creator of all things, to lead a good life and to help one another. After all isn't that what really matters, regardless what we call him, there is only ONE God! We will all end up in the same place and nothing else will matter.

One other thing, your tone and response to some of these people comments is not very nice, I mean if you're to be godly, you not doing a very good job of showing it. Another thing is that you stated that the world listens to those who have God in them and that is how we know we have God in us because the world listens to us. God gave us freedom to choose and with that the devil is at his best now. Just because you rob and steal and don't get caught mean that God has therefore wanted you to do these things so you must be right!?!? God will let you do evil things if it's what you want to do, misleading nations and coming to the worlds end is allowed, we all have freedom of choice. But, at the end right is right and wrong will be wrong, open you eyes to the truth. Don't just believe what you've been told, and don't just read books, search for proof!

I have been called the anti-chriust in several more adult forums. I wish I was, then I could run the world and party like a dog for 7 years. Of course then I go to hell forever. Maybe I should be glad I am not the anti-christ.

Come on, sweetie....Do you really think that you can convert someone by being preachy? And further, don't you think that you are playing God, in a way when you judge someone else, just because they have different beliefs than you?

It is great that you have a belief in something....we all need to believe in something greater than ourselves, but faith is a very personal thing......That is what is meant by the words: "PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD".

Mind your own business and the let others take care of theirs. This is the reason we have wars, because people like you cannot understand the meaning of tolerance and empathy.

You're quoting scripture in order to prove that scripture is the true word or God. That's like a Muslim quoting from the Koran to prove it is the word of Allah.
UPDATE-Your original question stated that you had proof that Jesus was the son of God. You haven't offered any evidence beyond what you believe to be true. I'm not belittling your faith but it's not proof.

2006-09-03 11:02:06 · answer #6 · answered by Anonymous · 0 1

You offer no proof at all, other than something that has been through at least 4 translations.

None of the Old Testement prophets had anything to say about Jesus. Those who mistranslated them changed the words to fit their picture. Sadly though, the original language of the holy prophets, Hebrew, is beyond you.

This is not proof. This is a series of quotations from a self-contradictory, historically inaccurate, unrefereed and unattributed book. There is no possible definition of proof that can survive these constraints.

Proof must be corroborated with evidence, observable (somehow), repeatable, and must apply to a falsifiable scenario.

Hence, although I have no proof, I suspect you may be a moron.
