Thats so silly,so materialistic,so selfish.
When good things happen to others, when a child laughs, when I see the sun shine, when I can talk to friends, and so many more things that I can physically not hold, that don't directly involve me,that makes me feel good.

I do not equate feeling good by the times when I only get what I want. I feel good when I know that I did the best I could, with the knowledge and resources I had, and good, pure intentions. Failure is just practice to something greater. And there is no such thing as winning a fight. Being able to compromise and be mature enough to say you are sorry, or you had fault, or it was your mistake is success within itself!

Well u know you cannot get always what u want.U dont have to get all u want 2 feel good, sometimes we think beacuse we dont get what we wanted it thats bad.U know I learn that sometimes you dont get what u want and in the final u feel happy beacuse maybe that moment of not getting what u wanted, make u grow and mature in your personal life.So dont get mad people if u dont get something u want let it go, maybe is for ur own good, and later on u will notice that and give thanks 2 the life beacuse u dont get it.

Wanting something and trying to fulfill that want is an endless loop.
You can feel good by wanting what you have. In other words. Notice what you have. Want that. You have so much if you only look around you. There is so much that supports you.
What you really want is what you have. That is peace.

Giving can be quite as much fun as getting, whether in charity, lovemaking, friendship, work or any kind of relationship. Even the Red Baron gave Snoopy a break at Christmas.

Sometimes the best feeling is in not getting what you want. Often desires can produce more harm than good. the key is to want what is beneficial in God's eyes. His wisdom is infinitely greater than ours. We can tap into the wisdom of God by asking him in prayer to provide for us according to his will and not ours. We can ask for his wisdom in determining the best course for our life. King Solomon could have asked God for anything that he wanted, but he asked God for wisdom to rule Israel. God was so impressed that he made Solomon the wisest man to ever have lived, and on top of that he also rewarded him with wealth that no man has ever superseded. Take Solomon's advice and get wisdom.

Well I prefer it, but that's not how life works. Getting what you need vs want will make you feel good. Its like eating ice cream. Vanilla might be what you need, but having chocolate sauce on it might be what you want. You'll feel good eating the vanilla, but better if you also get the chocolate sauce. You don't need the chocolate sauce, but it makes it alittle special.

In many cases, getting your desires only results in more suffering. Reducing others' suffering is a great way to very the light of compassion. Helping others will result in helping yourself.

Men are particularly bad at this I must admit. Women are more giving, loving, and willing to compromise. Sure that is a generalization and we know those are wrong, but compromise does seem to be the answer.
