I am a Muslim, and would like to tell u that viel has nothing to do with islam, and many Muslim women dont use it.
viel is only a tradition in some Arabic countries not all.
but as Muslims respect Christianity and nuns we consider hiding hair as free action.

I think you have an assumption that all people respect nuns and do not respect women who wear a veil or a Burqua. Your assumption aside, not all Muslim women wear a veil at all and not all nuns wear a habit. Most nuns who do wear a habit choose to and some Muslim women choose to wear a veil or Burqua.
However, unfortunately many women have no choice in wearing a veil or burqua and must wear it to hide themselves so they do not inflame the passion of men.
Those who choose to cover their head (and many Jewish women do so as well) and those who do not - I respect them all. I DO NOT, however, respect men in any country who force a woman to cover their head.

No one is MAKING the nun wear the cover. If she want to -- she quit being a nun and wear a mini-skirt all day long.
A Muslim women in some countries HAS to wear the cover under fear of death.
I think there is a difference.

Now that's a question which has bothered me for a long time. Trouble is, Christians have developed tunnel vision.
