any ideas? i see that people are selling broken psp's like this for a lot on ebay...does that mean it is a cheap and easy fix? thanks

you probably messed up the laser by playing it alot

Made sure you didn't delete any files that recongize the UMD disk for the PSP. This can be caused by linking you PSP to your personal computer and deleting key files by accident.

properly guy i think of that your psp is broken if its no longer reading any disc then i might in basic terms get it fastened for 60-70 dollars or stumble on a sparkling one for low priced i might say get one from ebay or gamestop

probably a messed up scanner. you should e-mail Sony and see if they have a replacement.
