While the book is interesting and poses some great questions, it is a book of FICTION! Dan Brown never claims that any of this is actually real. Right on the cover it says " A Novel", and if you look at the copyright, it says, "all the characters and events in this book are fictitious, and any resemblence to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental."

I believe it's credible; it's evident through discoveries of lost ancient writings that a lot has been suppressed throughout history, particularly of contributions of its weaker members.
For example, the Gnostics were overrun by other sects of early Christianity.
I found the book, 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail' much more interesting as research into the subject; not sure if Dan Brown used this in his research.
After having read that, and considering my slight background in art history, I didn't care for Dan Brown's delivery; he didn't allow me, as a reader, to connect the dots, which I think is very important in fiction; too overbearing on some of the content.

I've seen the movie and read the book and I really enjoyed both of them. i am conviced some of the info presented there is true, and some other is pure simple fiction. The thing is we don;t have any proof that what we've been tought by now, by our religions, is true. We also don;t have any proof that the entire theory presented in the book is true. So I guess it's somewhere in the middle. In the end, it's a matter of choice for each of us. The real faith is in our hearts.

While the theory of the blood line of Christ has been around for many years, the book in question is clearly a work of fiction. I have not seen the movie. The reviews are very poor. One thing is clear. The work has a lot of folks talking about it.

the concept is intriguing. it makes you go ..hmmmmm......i'm still surprised by all the hype. Dan brown never tried to say the book was non-fiction..if you don't like the idea of it being possible, then forget it! it's still a great read!

It is a lousy movie. I won't say I agree with the concept of the movie but it does make u to ponder about the origin of our faith.

I feel the movie is based on historical facts... then again, so is the bible. I agree with the concept of keeping my mind open to God and historical facts.
