First of all, put your mouse over a blank area on the taskbar where its located now, and right click. If there is a check next to "Lock the taskbar", then click it to uncheck it. If not, leave it alone. Then, simply click in the same blank area of the taskbar and drag down till your taskbar/start button is back on the bottom. If it's too tall at this point, very easily move your mouse to the edge of the task bar till the mouse pointer turns into a verticle double head arrow. Hold there and left click, and drag down to the appropriate height. Hope this helps!

If you click on a part of the taskbar that doesn't have any open program buttons on it, and drag it you can have it at the top of the screen, the bottom of the screen or either side, depending on your preference.

Also, if you set up a user account for yourself, with password protection, you won't have to worry about the rugrat changing your settings any more.

Go to control panel > User accounts > Create a new account

and take it from there.

If it does not drag, you may need to right click on the task bar and uncheck the Lock the Taskbar.
