I'm A huge comic book geek ( and yes damn proud of it!). I was wondering is their any comic book companies in the U.K. and Ireland? Is thier any Irish or Celtic superheroes in general besides the ones from Marvel and D.C. like the Banshee and so forth.

One of the ancient versions of Spawn was Irish, as shown in the Medievil Spaw/Witchblade series. Cassidy in Preacher was an Irish vampire. Ash from Event Comics was an Irish-American firefighter who became a superhero. Hellboy has been featured in many short adventures based on Celtic legends. Ann O'Brien from MonkeyMan and O'Brien is Irish-American. The comic book More than Mortal had a heavy Celtic influence and Irish characters. Aria from Image Comics featured Kildare who was a celtic faerie. Medievil Lady Death was not expressly irish, but the series used Celtic legends as a basis. Sláine is from British comic 2000 AD and is based on the irish legend. The main character in the comic Road to Perdition (which the Tom Hanks movie is based on) is Irish-American.
that is about all I can recall at the moment.

I heard about a comic book titled " **** Face"..I was listening to a radio show. The scar left on a guys face from a gun shot wound looked like a butt, I thought the guy said it was a comic book from europe. This was like 10 years ago. I heard the Incredible Hulk is based on Celtic mythology.
btw I have a great idea for a super hero

Andrea's Marvel list is almost complete, but she forgot Shamrock, who has not been seen much since the original Contest of Champions.
