The root cause of all the evils is the pseudo secular democracy designed and implanted by Nehru which was further carefully nurtured and groomed by his dynasty. The Muslim cronies handpicked and deployed as Muslim leaders had the secret pact with this dynasty in return for a major share in waqf properties and Muslim endowments. These are the guys who introduced alien concepts like Shariah,Talaq,Polygamy,Jihad,Kafir,Fatwa, Tableeque Jamat and Madrassa education to alienate the Indian Muslims from their Hindu brothers and laid the foundation for vote bank and Muslim appeasement politics of the dynasty.

Indian Muslims should capture "Vande Mataram" as a golden opprtunity and in fact they can celebrate this singing ceremony for one year as a powerful launching pad for Indian Muslim nationalism. This way they can cut their umbilical cord with the Islamists and can win the heart and minds of their 900 million Hindu brothers also. VANDE MATARAM.

By an Indian Muslim.

To Russel above, you are an IDIOT!!! AND YOU WONDER WHY THE WHOLE NON MUSLIM WORLD HATES Y'ALL?BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU!!!!! CALLING FOR JIHADS AND FATWAS AND MAKING ISLAM THE UNIVERSAL RELIGION. GUESS LIKE FOUNDER,LIKE FOLLOWERS,EH?

TO the asker, you seem like one of the sane muslims. I am not Indian and I am not muslim, but one thing I am is someone who has admired India and its history. India has a track record of being the ONLY country in the world where so many religions co-exist,so many languages and tribes/clans live peacefully, etc UNTIL RECENTLY. What is going on? Not only muslims, but hindus too,ALL INDIANS TOO. You guys have to start by getting rid of the caste system first.
Wasn't Vande Mataram a song of tribute to India as a country, for the rich culture and for the struggle for independence? I am sure that when it was composed,it was for HINDUSTANIS not hindus?

That's all I can contribute. It has to be resolved because this issue is a powder keg that may explode any minute and cause a civil war AND INDIA HAS been through a lot and for a civil war to start just when India and Indians are showing the world its former glory and what it's capable of,that will weaken it. Besides, don't we have enough wars caused by Islam extremists on our plates?

Good luck with finding a solution. By the way,I love the song, the lyrics and the one done by A.R Rahman.lol. Every country should have a song like that....

I am an Indian first ,a Hindu secondly.....
I completely agree to you...
These days the muslim community is targeted as anti-nationalistic.......And to add to the fire the Islamists are issuing fatwas after fatwas......Thus detiroirating the condition...The general non muslim person in INDIA looks at the muslim community as terrorists...
So i believe its high time the Indian Educated and nationluvr muslims should rise above the voices of Islamists and sing the VANDE MATARAM ,defy the ill laws of Islamists who are seperating the muslim community and ending the secularism 4 wich India was famous since times immemmorial........

I pray tht all Indian muslims join hands with your fellow country men,be they hindus,Christian, sikhs, buddhists etc and rize above communal tensions!
Thus makin INDIA what it was in the past =UNITED!
SING VANDE MATARAM!!!!
JAI HIND

It is nothing but outright fanaticism and stupidity to term "Vande Matram" as a song connected with Hindu religion in any way! The Govt. should make available a literal Urdu translation of this song without further delay and a few mullahs should also learn Sanskrit to verify the actual meaning so that the controversy can be resolved. There is nothing wrong in learning a language - it does not belong to a particular religion. There are thousands of Hindus of old generation who have good knowledge of Urdu, Arabic and Persian and have read the sacred Koran many times and enriched their religious knowledge. We, the children of Mother India, irrespective of the religion we belong to, are all brothers in the same family. Let us not divide and become weaker by fighting amongst ourselves on the instigation of our religious leaders who are exploiting us like our political leaders.

I fully agree with you that our pseudo secular democracy is the root cause of all evils - we are falling prey to it every now and then. What is wrong in singing the glory of our mother and motherland? Our Muslim brothers can take a lead and get the credit by joining the rest of Indian brothers in singing "Vande Matram" and celebrating its centenary. This will surprise them to find how their Hindu brothers were yearning to embrace them whole-heartedly all these decades for serving Mother India unitedly and take her glory to newer heights!

I really wanted someone to ask this question. Coming from you in particular is a bonus. The Muslim fundamentalists who are issuing FATWA (against M.A. Naqwi) have not read Ananda mutt for sure. B.C. Chaterjee's novel was nothing to do against the Muslims. He, through his novel tried to polish the patriotism in Indians. I don't Deny that Muslims should not offer prayers to none other than Allah. But, there is a 100% difference between offering prayers to the god and, praising your motherland. In India mother land is considered to be the mother herself. Ask our Jawans, they consider motherland one step above their mother. So, by singing Vande Mataram one is praising the motherland. Hear the song fully. No were it is offering any prayers to any god. It is praising the land, river, mountains, the breeze, the trees etc, etc. Now, one has to ask himself/herself, is it a crime to praise their parents. If that is not a crime, I request all Indians to proudly sing 'VANDE MATARAM'.

Is this a question of of National Importune, who to sing not to sing, let each may decide. Do not make it an issue again to cut others' throat. You sing it as national anthem or as a nursery rhyme what difference it make. Please try to solve the problems of poverty, penury in our country, then more people will sing national anthem with its true pride.

You know you are a real idiot!!!

Either you are phyco or jsut foolish idiot!

By telling these, thinking these might you will listn some "bravo" words from your hindu brother but you will loose your muslim brothers, you will loose your Creator "allah"'s rahmat, and Rasullullah(Sallellahu Alaihis Wa sallam)'s shafayat at the time of 'Akhirat'.

trying to be smart is ok but dont try it for the Islam.Islam is eternal for all over the world till the 'Kyamat'

Islam didnt oppose to mingle with hindu, and didnt even tell to hate them.Rather Islam always encouraged for the peach and humanity, kindness.
with the same, Islam asked to believe in one "God".Asked for good habit, good saying and good nature, good lessons.
