My daughter resisted taking a review course for the SAT [Kaplan]. I told her that if she took the last-year's SAT that Kaplan offers, and they told her that she scored too high for them to help her, I'd let her keep the tuition - it was about $750 for the SAT prep course.

She did not get to keep the tuition - she took the course and did excellently on the SATs and got a free ride to a wonderful private college.

So, take a prep class - Princeton Review offers one, as does Kaplan. I think we went with Kaplan because it was $100 less than PR.
