Yahoo curtails a lot more than is covered by the law actually. I've heard it said that if enough people object to whatever som, eone writes even if it is totally harmless that person will be banned. Seems it's the law of the mob.

The reality is we do not have 100% free speech. There are certain things which should not be said (most are covered by law), so the fact that yahoo curtails certain things fit in with these laws.
If Yahoo allowed ANYTHING to be said there would be a lot of people who would post things that would offend others, incite certain bad behaviour and would actually put genuine users off the site.

Yahoo definately censors speech in a despicably biased fashion. Especially with regard to religion; Christianity in particular. Regardless of of the fact that the comment is devoid of any threats, or profanity of any kind. The religious crackpot, un-American, communist loving censor will simply not post it. This is probably why Google is outclassing them in all areas. Google employs people who have respect for the First Amendment to the United States Constitution as so many have given their lives to defend this basic Right. Shame on Yahoo.

I agree with the guy who said, "This is their site"....don't like their rules, then go somewhere else. I am grateful for their rules or this would be total chaos with nothing but smart *** answers. People who don't wish to answers sincerely can go find a blog that tolerates abuse to others!!!!!

When you check the "Agree To Terms", you agree to post nothing obscene or disgusting or ads on this site. Some people obviously don't read the agreement.

Their rules are quite clear. It's their site. As for the guy who has had loads of questions removed, well maybe you should read the rules.

Only if you "threaten" national security, or are trolling for children. Pretty much anything else goes.
