Yes again you can take and repot most any perineal plant, shrub or even small tree when you move. Main thing to remember is to get a good root ball around your roots. If you get moved before it freezes then go ahead and get whatever you take with you in the ground before the first frost.
Last time I moved when my ex and I split I took ALL my plants that I wanted to keep with me. Roses, hydrangeas, a small japanese maple tree, some perineals etc.
DO NOT fertilize before you dig them up especially at this time of the year.

I would think you could try to pot it and take it with you. What would it hurt? Be sure to ferterlize it well before moving it. In a few months, you should know if it will make it or not.

Yes, do it.. It's yours you planted it.. I would for sure.. and have done so before. Just try to get it in the ground at your new location as soon as you can.

Better to check with the landlord....were they there when you moved in???Where are you moving to....Anchorage???
