When you say stopped up do you mean with wax or pressure? I have tiny ear canals so I have to keep my ears free of wax or I have a hard time hearing. I don't encourage this because of the old saying "don't stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear" but I use a paper clip to remove built up wax. i watched my doctor use this looped metal tool to remove the wax and discovered if you twist the paper clip into a loop and serilize it you can do the samething at home. The only other thing is wax softeners. it is a fluid that you place in the ear and then lay on your side with your plugged ear facing up. After twenty minutes or so you switch sides, making sure there is a towel under your head, and let the fluid drain out. With it comes the wax. Hope this helps.

I have researched the problems and I have found several things that may help:
1.cut back on sweets and fats and dairy products, use ginger and cloves to spice your food. The herb gotu kola reduces the likelihood of ear infections and improves hearing.
2.eating one or two cloves of raw garlic each day may help.
3.hot compresses on the ears combined with a hot foot bath might help.
4.you can try onion juice, its a old remedy and it works or over the counter wax remover,
5. see your doctor

Its probably allergies, I have the same problem. When your sinuses get swollen they block your ear canal from draining properly and they feel stopped up. Go to the doctor and get some Flonase. It really helps a lot. I promise!

Sounds like you have one of two problems. You either have wax build up outside the tempanic membrane (ear drum) which is called swimmers ear. OR
The Eustachian tubes behind the ear drums that help to equalize pressure on both sides, are swollen and blocked. Either way, go see you doctor and let them treat it. Both require medications to help correct them.
You may have allergies and the doctor can find out and give you something to help you out.

Try taking some cold anf lu medicine. Your ears are attatched to your synuses if you have had a cold in the past that may be the reason. Try blocking your nose and pushing out, that sometimes works aswell! :)
