You can't really generalize like that. Some Americans are friendly and some are not. Some Americans are fat, some are not. Some Americans support Bush, some do not. Some Americans make tons of money, some do not. Some Americans go to church, some do not. Some Americans will give you the shirt of their back, some will not. It all depends on the person. As an American, I think more Americans are friendly than not friendly, just as I think more people from other countries are friendly than not friendly.

the only way an american person will show themself to be friendly to you is if you have something in common with them. if they feel you do not have much in common with them or share their same background they will act as if you dont exist. i have noticed though if an american finds themself in a position to need you for something they will pretend to be friendly no matter who you are. then after they get what they need then you will see their real side. most americans are not friendly.

Some are. To be honest most are not. But it really depends on what part of the counrty you go to. The East coast is the beat. People are nicer.

Neither less or more than other nationalities. The answer?
a) Depends on you
b) Depends on who you meet, what time of the day, what they ate at that time etc, etc.
More on you than on them. Descartes "I think, therefore I am".
