The company is in London and the name is SmarTec-UK. They stated that they just opened up an office in Warsaw, Poland. I would like to work for them, but don't want to get fooled.

Companies - online or otherwise - may not be fakes i.e they are legitimately registered. That does not ensure that you are not duped. Do not surrender sensitive information unless you are sure, and the rewards outweigh the risks.

I know that in the US you can check the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for info on companies... The site addy is http://www.bbb.org/

Never pay upfront for "start up supplies" Is there an interview? If not, I wouldn't look any farther. Would you hire someone, sight unseen, for your own business? I wouldn't.

Check companies house website.They have Business register information and also three point help to fight fraud.

i know what you mean. i posted my resume online and it seems that lately i have recieved alot of offers for jobs but they sound real strange like untrustworthy! i dont respond i know if it sounds too good to be true then usually it is!!
