Personally, in my area I think that Cingular and the Motorola products are the best for reception and clarity. Although I just played with the new Samsung phone at Cingular("the world's smallest phone") Pretty cool...the clarity seems to be pretty good but no bluetooth.

Cingular, I drive for a living and I have used Verizon, then Nextel. Driving across the country, I have had few drop calls and I hear the person on the phone like they are sitting next to me with Cingular.

you got usually 2 different systems( cell tower coverage)
CDMA coverage: Virgina Mobile..Sprint..Versizon..Tracfone..

GSM coverage: T-Mobile Cingular...
Cingular is the best...but in the Mountains and back wood, U got better coverage with one of the CDMA phone...like take a pre-paid phone with U...like VM and Tracfone...
