Both of the goalies are great! Huet and Aebisher both are very good (Huet had a tremendous seaon last year) but I would say the best goaltenders in the NHL are Kiprusoff and Brodeur.

well we have seen many goalies get really hot and don't show up the next season. so we will have to see how he does this season remember he is 31 or 32 years old, and he will be challenged by Aebischer. but if he is just as good as last year then other teams will need to be careful cause the Habs are going to be really really though to beat this year. and that's the only reason Montreal kept Aebischer just in case Huet doesn't step up like he did last year, lets hope he does.
to the person that said, Huet don't let the contract get to your head, he didn't really sign a big contract. not like the big contracts like some players have signed and fell apart the following season.Huet is probably the lowest paid #1 goalie in the NHL or in the top 5 less paid in the NHL.
HIP HIP HUET!!!!!!!!!!!

Goalkeeper? Hockey Team?
Anyway, Huet is pretty danged good but I don't think the Habs have the best goalie in the NHL although they may have the best tandem with Aebischer as backup.

Cristobal Huet is the starter, and he is not the best in the NHL. He put up good numbers for a half a year, but until he proves he can do it consistently over a few seasons, I'll put him in the top 10 to 15.

Did Ken Dryden come out of retirement again?!? Wow, if he did I will say yes, for sure all those Cups he won for them back in the 70s. Now all they need is Guy LaFleur, Steve Shutt, Dougie Jarvis, Pete Mahovolich, Bob Gainey, Larry Robinson, Guy LaPointe, Serge Savard and Michel "Bunny" Larocque to come back.

Martin Brodeur is the best all time. When he is finished his he will have beaten patrick Roy for All time wins and beat Terry Sawchuck for most career shut outs.
Not to mention his Stanley Cups, Olympic Gold Medal etc.

The guy played half a season, it may be a bit early to call him the best. If you are talking about Huet. If you are talking about Aebischer I can definitively say no.

Yes. He is. He's going to be even better this season since clearly now he's their # 1 goalie(Cristobal Huet). Had he played more games last season, he would have been the MVP.

if you mean cristobal huet then its questionable he got hot last year but who knows if he'll be able to do it again i hope he does though but he definitely isn't the best in the NHL I'd say it's probably Martin brodeur with the Devils
