<<<<<<<< USES LIQUID

I have put washing up liquid on greasy stains before throwing into the washing machine but generally use soap powder.

Have you been doing that for long? Do you think the results are far superior or can you just not be bothered to buy and stock the powder?

No, I've done it before but only when I ran out of washing powder and couldn't be bothered to go to the shops. I've got to say washing powder does work better.

I think so however reading all the answers I don't think you are. I've never done it, should I? I am missing out on something? I prefer to use washing powder and softener!

HA HA! I've done that! I HAD to finish my laundry and ran out of detergent. I used my ginger-lime body wash. It worked quite well! I still have it sitting on top of the washer.

Never use dish soap in the dishwasher, it will cause flooding. I learned that the hard way.

I've always used liquid. I've never really given much though to the powder.
