I have 2 uncles with it, so I worry too. They don't know how you get it. I believe it's environmental. Michael J. Fox worked on a Canadian sit-com when he was very young. (before Family Ties). Several of the cast and crew now have the disease , so there must have been something in the ground or air that caused it. My father's 2 brothers have it, and he and his other brother don't. The older 2 were in the army and out of the house at 18, while the younger 2 were home and may have been around different pesticides.

Parkinson's is genetic in some cases. In a lot of cases, like mine, it is not. I was dxd 4 years ago and there is no history of it anywhere in my family. I have heard a number of reasons that lead to Parkinson's, but there are some cases that will be a mystery. In my case, all of the reasons they know of did not apply to me. There is a lot of research going on, so I am hopeful some breakthroughs will be forthcoming.
