Small direct-vent heaters are the way to go. But before buying check the installation instructions to be sure that they will be able to be installed in accord with the specifications. These heaters are wall-mounted and come in various BTU sizes. Check the internet first, then local sources. Good luck.

If you are talking about portable, it's not a good idea due to ventilation problems. Most people have a lot of trouble getting proper ventilation and end up breathing fumes all day.

no way...no code in the world would allow unvented heaters. Carbon monoxide is a very strong danger here.

they produce vent less LPG heaters, follow all instructions, Carefully and they are safe to use!
