The easiest is to put cool moist soaks on the eyes and relax. Ice also does help, but don't keep it on there too long.
I don't know about this one, but while watching a program with the wife on TV about models, they say they use preparation H cream to remove puffiness around the eyes. I would be careful not to get anything in the eyes if I tried this method.

I was once told by an old granny to use two pieces of sliced
cucumbers and place both the slices onto each eye to reduce
puffiness. However, you are to repeat it three times after 10
minutes each time. Slowly and surely, the puffiness from your
eyes will be reduced to normal.

Slices of raw potato or cucumber will soothe swollen eyelids and reduce swelling...place over eyes for 10 minutes 2X a day.

I haven't tried it, but I've heard that cold tea bags work. Wet them and then wring out the excess water prior to placing them over your eyes.

You use your less dominant hand's ringfinger to softly pat the bags under your eyes. Beware not to overdo it, otherwise it may sink inwards. Hope this works. It does for me!
