I've just finished reading Margot Fonteyn's life story, extremely interesting. Before that I read Candace Bushnell's latest book Lipstick Jungle, also enjoyed it. And now I'm going to read Louise Bagshaw's last book Sparkles. All her others were really funny, so I suspect this one will be too. How about you?!!

I am reading an Advanced Reader's Copy (ARC) of HERE THERE BE DRAGONS by James A. Owen. It comes out on October 1. It is a great book. This is actually my second time through it. I read it on Tuesday or Wednesday...and it was so good...I'm rereading it before I write my review.

It is a great fantasy book...all lovers of fantasy should enjoy...but fans of Inklings authors particularly C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien should definitely enjoy :)

Here's the website where you can read the first few chapters online now...

I recently finished The Poisonwood Bible by Barbra Kingsolver. It was an incredible novel. I highly recommend it. Now I am reading Inner Christianity by Richard Smoley. It is a philosophical book on the esoteric traditions in Christianity. Very deep!

I'm currently reading Clare Chambers' Back Trouble and it's a bit boring really. I've read all of her other books and they were pretty good, so maybe this one's a bit of a dud. I'm also thumbing through Josie Lloyd and Emlyn Rees' Three Day Rule which is ok, but slow. I like reading biographies too and the best one recently was Alex Best's (really!)

I'm reading 'Tom Jones' by Henry Fielding, and yes, I would recommend it. It's quite long, but it has short paragraphs so it's easy enough to get through. It's a very early novel, so it's interesting to see how innovating writers were even at that early stage in the history of the novel.

I just started The Kite Runner. It's well-written and keeps your
interest. It's also a good insight into a culture that most of us are really not familiar with. There are sooo many great books out there and soooo little time. Choose wisely, grasshopper.
