One man's ceiling is another man's floor. It varies considerably from 8-20 hours per day, 5-7 days per week, 48-49 weeks per year. I'm in the 1st 3 years of owning my own Pentium IV Windows XP (Home), retired & still learning some more of the basics. The graduation from dial-up to broadband, finding 'widgets' & most recently, discovery of Yahoo!Answers, have been the most significant factors since winning an online competition [LasVegas from Sydney] through a public computer in 2003. So what if it's obsessive? It's really more fun than watching tv, more productive than lots of other hobbies &/or recreations. The information aquired & functions of the computer make it very cost effective. I've found information through Yahoo!Answers alone to off-set $3,000(US) in one simple question! Obsessive, to me, is when my eyes go blurry & I have trouble seeing or get kinda punchy from lack of sleep. After sleeping, it's fun to pick up where I left off!

I probably spend 2 to 3 hrs on my computer a day. I dont consider that obsessive at all. As long as you can pull away it's not a problem

I really burned up mine too when it was new!! That's pretty normal, as it's like a new toy. and your just so blown away by all the cool sites out there.
I sometimes spend 3-4 hours a day now, or just 15-20 minutes--it just depends on what else is going on.
Have you ever tried pulling up an extra chair, and surfing the net with your Hubby? I do that with my Man and we have alot of fun finding freaky stuff out there.
It may be worth a try to find something you BOTH enjoy, and maybe he will lighten up.

I think people should only spend an averadge of 1 hour 23 minutes on the computer. I spend about 1 hour 30 minutes. It's not a lot over. I am sure some people do stay on the computer a lot longer.

well, i usally spend about four hours a day on the computer. sometimes a bit longer on days when my younger sister doesnt say she wants or needs to go on, sometimes shorter when she says she wants or needs to go on, but as an average it would be four hours. to be obsessive i would say over six hours would start to get obsessive. there are more things to do in your life than to spend more than six hours a day on a computer. because you have dial up internet connection, you may need to cut your amount of hours to four hours or less a day. the last thing you'd want is to lose hours you have and having to keep paying extra, and if it really bothers you that much, mayb you should instead get wireless where you could spend as much time as you want on the computer as their is no limit

I'm probably on 1-2 hours every day.
It really depends on what else you do to make it obsessive. If you work all day and then come home and relax by going on the computer, thats cool.
But if your just on all day, not doing anything else, thats probably obsessive.

because of the fact that your question looks for below one lesson i might cut back myself on your question status. the linked fee of humanity is falling aside too in the present day in right now's international as a effect of which lots of violence international extensive. What we would desire to coach is to ask to admire social bindings and human values specifically to the imminent technology. different valuable issues might persist with immediately.
