Why would you want to. People (most anyways) suck. They are mean and selfish and are only out for themselves. Stay in honey I wish I could. I would rather be around kids than adults.

Well....this is at least a start. I've known people so shy they didn't even have the nerve to use the internet to communicate with people.

You've got lots of pretty good answers here, not a whole lot I can really add.

I do want to say I feel that being 'popular' is not the greatest achievement in the world, and nothing is wrong with liking 'your own company'.

If you really want to 'break free', you have to get out more, even if it is just to go to the corner market, or the library, or the gas station, etc..

I would like to suggest doing a 360 page here. It could be a bit of a confidence builder when you get to experience communicating with lots of people from everywhere. If you do make one, I'd be glad to add you to my 'friends' list just to help get it started....hope you think about it, it can be fun.

Anyway, I wish you the best....take care....

I say this alot, but you could get a hobby something that you enjoy and you will be around some people with your same interest, this way you will have a subject to talk about and it should be alot less awkward for you. Are you constantly wondering what other people think of you, if so this could be holding you back as well, I would try to think of something else like try and guess there name before you meet them. I hope I was some help, Good luck.

I too am a shy person that does not have many friends. I am very insecure about meeting people but I am trying my best to get over that fear. I find the best way to do it is to "just do it".
It is working for me, it did not happen over night but I am getting there. Good luck.

looks like you already are doing that. If you want to, you can change or do anything. The best thing for yourself is to contemplate yourself.. is this aspect of my personality or life working for me?? Some people are too pig headed to contemplate themselves. It is a shame becasue they miss out on a more fulfilling life/lifestyle. Life is more fun when you experience all there is to experience without any inhibitions. :) Hope this helps.. It is funny becasue I was just talking about something similar to this with my mother in law tonight..

I don't agree with who say that u stay away from people..That is totally wrong..Humanbeing are social..Alcohol is a temporary solution...you need to get over social phobia..I used to suffer severely from that..Now it is not much a problem
The solution is in ur hands
U got to take small steps:
Make small mistake without feeling guilty about it
Train yourself to be open with friends .
Open topics with friends and relatives.
Chat with cam without putting ur hands onto ur face..
Cross the first line that will take u to an imaginative set goal
Take steps ..Heart will beat,,Don't worry about it.
Good luck...

why not join a sport or take up some self confidence classes. you will meet new people and widen your circle of friends. if you have any hobbies or other interests you should try to find people with the same interests and get to know them. good luck.
