It's normal to feel that it's hard to make friends when you change school, but it's not a reason to have less confidence or to think everybody hates you. They don't. It's just that people know each other in this new school, they have their friends so it'll probably take you little longer to find a group that we'll accept new people. I've been through something like this, when I moved to another town with my family and it took me a while to find new friends, to get used to things in this new town, new neighbourhood...new everything. You just have to be patient, you have to be yourself and the most important don't think everybody hates you. You will make friends after a while. Maybe not in the next few days, but you'll make friends, I'm sure.

Make sure you don't smell bad. Many people from foreign country's smell bad to Americans who bath every day. Then try to make eye contact, and say hi to someone. Weight till someone says hi back. Then small talk about something you might have in common. (school). Another idea is to ask someone at a grocery store where a item is. Pick something hard to find (like capers) to start a conservation. If you say where is the eggs, or milk you will look stupid.

be youself. remember a smile and a " hello, how are you ? " in a sincere tone can do wonders. Pick a subject you are knowledgable in and ask your teacher if there is someone who needs tutoring. also if there is a subjuct you need help in ask your teacher if there is someone who can help you. you might also think about getting involved in some sports or school activities. a good personality means more than good looks. personally, just from your question think you will be successful. good luck and best wishes.

I'm sure people are not disgusted with you. You just happen to be the new kid that isn't known well enough. You need to approach people becuase they won't approach you. If you are human, you are capable of making friends.
