The important thing here is your education. Not every university education or any engineer can gain employment any where. It depends on your university and your degree too. Is it recognized by the host country you are going to work in. And there is your command of English. I have encountered master degree holder from Indian university unable to converse and communicate fluently or to a degree of understandable English....worst still your wanting to go to Germany. Europe is a sick old maid....you should be looking at Asian Countries like China, Malaysia, Singapore. There you will find people who are from your native country....easier for you to work with since you have no relatives abroad. Oh....if you are financially not strong how are you going to get tickets to fly out of India? You think your fellow country men in the US, Canada, Europe could give you a helping hand? I would suggest you stay in India and look for work with a good MNC.....don't give your parents any headaches as those blood sucking moneylenders are not going to be kind to them when you are somewhere in Europe or America enjoying from their suffering like most I know.

As a school student and common consumer of public transport in Melbourne, I even have in no way considered every physique do something or say something to every physique for no reason, not to point Indians. maximum folk keep to themselves using fact they're so bored or too drained to p.c.. on somebody only using fact they could. If incidents like this have been ever to ensue, they may be greater hardship-loose after dusk - as with every international locations. Plus, if it grew to become right into a controversy, i'm specific the Australian media might have placed their 2 cents rather worth in via now.

germany is certainly a good place to study mechanical engineering, it's something we know a fair bit about, but it's not necessarily a good place to find work. if you have a degree already, you might be able to find teaching work at the university you'll go to, if not the best way forward for you might be a scholarship. try to find out if your uni in india has any academic ties with a german one, that'll make things a whole lot easier for you. another thing you can do is to contact the german academic exchange service - english version of their site here:

http://www.daad.de/deutschland/index.en....

they offer exchange programmes and scholarships for students from all over the world and are generally the first point of contact for anyone who wants to enter or leave germany for study. one thing you have to mind with them is that their cogs turn slowly, so if you want to achieve anything with them you have to get cracking immediatetly. one more thing, you'll have better chances to be accepted at a german university with a feasible level of german. you'll find information about learning german on the same website, but could also contact your nearest goethe institute in india. they are the offical guys for teaching german and german culture abroad and will be able to give you certifications for every level of german you've reached. good luck!

edit - just wondering how waterdancer got the idea that germany is the worst idea and europe is a sick old maid. i'm looking out of the window here in ireland at the piece of german mechanical engineering in my driveway (vw golf) and i can't say i've ever had any complaints about it. also, if euroipe is a sick old maid, why did i have to pay through the nose for my house i wonder. sure as hell high property prices are a sympton of a booming economy.

you would not like this answer if you have made up your mind then dont read further
I am an indian in germany.............you should know what do you want in life

1) germany is not the best place to go, I have worked in USA. try usa its far better as thier are more jobs thier they are a bigger economy

2) most european countries are mature economy with slow growth rates , you wont get a job in UK if you are not from cambridge /oxford or any high college.

3) what are your german language skills , if you dont have the proficiency of more that test daf level 3 then forget it , even with a german degree your chances would be slim, most germans recruit on the basis of your degree skills the hottest feild right now is wirthschaftwissenschaft its a combi of business and eng

4) have you taught of honk kong/singapore they have excellent universities and jobs but then you have to be the best in thier universities and chinese are brilliant as well.

5) right now your best chance with an engineeering degree is in the middle east they want indian eng.

6) canada and austtralia are easy to enter but ts tough to find a job without a PR in australia, in canada its depends on the economy of the region.

in the end I would suggest that going to europe wont make sense as they have a lot of local languages with in the thier countries.

India is about to have a boom thats why many indians abroad are wanting to go back, if you really want to go out then try for english speaking countries they are better, but remember most of the developed countries are facing recessions and the jobs are being outsourced to countreis like India/china. so leaving India is entirely your choice.

You can get in touch with me if you want any info about going abroad , I have worked in USA and am doing my MBA in germany, DAAD is very helpfull but they cant tell you about the jobs which are going to cheaper german speaking countries like poland and russia, plus mechanical engneering is not like petro where youget truckloads of money , my advice to you is stay in India your degree is the best for countries where the work would outsourced to.

if finances are the problem think twice before leaving your motherland, india has the most of jobs what you neeed is talent and enthusiasm. look forward to life in indi with positiveness and the world will be yours. jobs are not a prob. in india and youll easily find one if you have the patience and guts to strive. dont forget if u r abroad nd you find finances detoirating/declining in india ull really have lot many worries in lef rather than satisfaction for which yo wann be there. i suggest think twice before taking such a bold step.

i think U.S. is the best. as u can reach from bottom to top and top to bottom in a short time if you have the skill. and then if u have the skill then money would never be the problem.
