supposed to be called "instrumental" as u hear only the instruments... but "acoustic" also means the same on album playlists

An instrumental aka a song you will never hear on pop radio no matter how good it is. Most instrumentals are album filler anyway but some are actually better than most songs with lyrics.

Actually it's called a 'piece' but 'instrumental' is probably the correct answer in more modern circles.

It is called "music".
Technically it is an instrumental, but it could be "techno", so
the 'instrument' is really a computer, or synthesizer.

This one irritates me but the word is SONG - - - no words just music you would think that after a couple million years someone could have come up for an alternative word but no - - - SONG it is.
