I am just wondering why we are quick to criticise and point fingers at others yet we are all guilty of some wrong doing in our lives. We are quick to take arms against each other but slow in understanding each others point of view? is it the politician or the media who have shaped and corrupted us?

The geeky (but logical) answer to your question can be found in game theory vis a vis the classic "prisoner's dilemna." Google it.

Old but great question, this is the question for our human beings to ask and answer our own self.Yes ,politician and media they do shaped and corrupted us but mainly from our selfishness self- centred,self-assertion,self-esteem,self-interest ,self-indulgence etc. What in our eyes are stupidity, fault, foolish, sin from someone else but not our own .And we are not only quick but too quick to criticize ,point fingers at others but not to understand the others, there must be some sad, horrible, unforgettable ,painful tragedy behind the scenes, why can't we spend a little bit mercy to forgive or justify someone else .

Not sure why but it seems that since forever humans have this tendency to form groups.

Not a bad trait for survival of the species. However if you are in your group and I am in another group something strange happens, it's called “group dynamics". Psychologists and sociologists love to study this topic.

Now groups have a tendency to compete rather than cooperate with each other, such as sports groups. Usually an award is given to a competitor for "Good Sportsmanship". That’s the person who tries his hardest to beat the other team, all the while having respect for them even to the point of helping them compete to their best, risking losing to them in the end.

Now combine group dynamics with deep seeded beliefs and you've got a volatile mix. You won’t see any awards being given out for good sportsmanship; instead, you see prejudice, and every other bad trait of humanity rise to the top. For instance:

Protestants vs. Catholics in Ireland,

Arabs vs. Jews in Middle East,

Terrorist Muslims vs. America, et. al. around the world,

Great Britain vs. China in the Opium Wars

The Allies vs. the Axis Powers in WW2

Even God got into it with: The Israelites vs. the inhabitants of Jericho.

So humans have this "us" against "them" mentality. Just see how 'nuts' guys get over their favorite (football, baseball, basketball, soccer, whatever) team.

This is the meaning of the saying "It's a dog eat dog world"

We all need to replace our jealocy, envy, etc with more sportsmenship and respect for the other guy, etc.

AS TO WHY we humans are like this? Well the Christian explanation is that we are a "fallen" species. Fallen ever since Adam and Eve (just a way of saying any man or woman or the first man and woman to attain a responsible conscience) disobeyed God when they were given everything they could ever want and that wasn’t enough.

You are absolutely right, people are quick to condemn. I am a Born-Again-Christian and I have no hate in me, just love. That doesn't mean I have no emotions, just that through coming to know Christ as my Saviour, I have found out that I had to work on the hate issue and bring it before God.

I still get angry about things, but thats just human emotion. The Lord tells us, "In your anger, do not sin". But although before I became a Christian, I did have a lot of hatred in my life, but this has gone now and replaced by Love, through the work of the Holy Spirit.

In my opinion it's easier for them, I take the time and effort to understand people and I have a live and let live outlook on life.

Im not racist , sexist, homophobic etc etc etc ..... I just think that people of all walks of life/race/creed are just like me ...have feelings , And the ones that point the finger of ridicule are themselves either insecure , or trying to impress someone for fear of being ridiculed themselves !! dont you hate it when you know what you want to say , but struggle to do it !!

hope my personal insight helps in some way :)

peace to you my friend :@)

It's easier to hate people that's views are different or they as people are different. It's human nature to hate what you don't understand. And some people criticise so that people won't criticise them.I love all people that doesn't mean i have to eat or hang out with them.I believe someone urn's disrespect and not the other way around.

I even have continuously theory that the previous testomony is in basic terms that previous and can be taken care of as one in all those background. the recent testomony is the recent regulation for guy to persist with. even nonetheless because of the fact of guy's zeal (from Zealot) and his very own ego many experience that they way the pray is the only way. nearly all of individuals stay their faith quietly and don't "pontificate down" to others. So on a countrywide point any faith is a failure. as a result the Spanish Inquisitions and the Crusades. Buddha, Gandhi and Jesus reported it ultimate "persist with the affection of God." So take your faith with a grain of salt and prepare to the final of your potential that's all any individuals can do. and don't complication approximately people who do no longer understand of a God the father won't ignore his toddlers.

Its called arrogance! It leads to less desire to learn about others thinking that either we know everything or we can get whatever we want without the help of others. It creates selfish attitude towards other and life. Historically this is the sign of all powerful nations preparing to go on downward slope of the curve.

because we simply don't seek to understand the person and it's easier to say I don't care or don't like the person. Case in point, where I work, if a person comes in to work, right away, the will judge them quicker than say well I can see why they are this way; I read a long time ago that it is better to seek to understand and love than to hate a person.

Because it is much easier to follow the consensus than to form our own opinions, self responsibility and understanding has fallen way side to being a number in the cattle call
