In a sense, yes, virginity is an important thing, although, it's probably not as big of a deal as religion makes it out to be. The thing about virginity is that you can only have it once, and to give it to someone is a sign of love. It's a good idea to wait and be sure that what you are doing is the right thing. I don't really recommend to wait until marriage because you can love the guy, but if the sexual chemistry isn't there, and you'd be in a bind.
If you are religious person, they usually preach abstinence, but if you do make lose your virginity before marriage, you can ask for forgiveness and you'll be purified.

No.
You need to lose it for the survival of the species.
It's importance comes from religious folk, especially muslims, who see extra marital sex as a mortal sin, and punish it harshly.
If you don't want fundies taking over the mindset of the world , forget religion. However remember virginity, as it can be a virtue not to just sleep around ut save yourself for a planned family making session instead. Shows responsibility and maturity, but not religious *purity*!

for human beings --- who nonetheless stay interior the middle an prolonged time --- virginity is particularly considerable... yet each and all of the ladies I knew — whilst i became youthful, 30 years in the past — needed to get rid of their virginity as quickly as possible... some ladies have "injuries" on a similar time as making activities, another ladies — like my sisters or my cousins — had different tricks to get rid of that "stupid ineffective stigma" ... you fairly do not want it!!! Do You ask Your boy chum, if he continues to be a "virgin" ?! What for!!!

YES it is; you don't want to give your best to someone who just want to score or to someone who just want to get over on you. nope. that's not right; If your a person who values your body, give the most precious gift of yourself to someone who would love, value, protect and most of all honor what you have given him; I didn't do it and paid the price, but I tell my daughters each day to hold on to your assets because that is what it is;

No, but being selective about who you sleep with is important so you don't get a disease or a slutty reputation.
