Does any one know what it will entail to get it out?

The key is cut in half so it is way in there I tried thin twizzers but I can barely even see it.

You need a lock smith. You are not going to get that sucker out yourself. No way.

If needle nose pliers don't work, put some super glue gel on the end the part of the key that's out and press it against the broken part. Hold it very steady for about five minutes. It then should be glued strong enough to extract it.

If you're good with tools, drill a small hole (a Dremel tool is good for this) in the broken key, fasten a straightened paper clip with super glue gel into the hole.

its not that hard if a little bit is still sticking out find some "needlenose" plyers and just pull it out or you may need to use a realy strong magnet to coax it out whatever you do dont push it in further

You could use picks but why just have some one replace the ignition switch.

The only way to do that is get a locksmith, my dear. It'll cost you some money, dear.
