It is possible. Most women have an opening in the hymen, through which the blood comes when they menstruate. Sperm are mobile, and if any drips in the right (wrong) place, they can travel. Artificial insemination need not widen this opening in order to place the sperm where they need to be to cause pregnancy.

There is the artificial insemination... as well as other ways semen can travel to the vagina without actually entering...
