Hey y'all I'd really like some help with this. I've been hanging out with a really good mate for a few months, getting closer and she's someone I pictured me spending a long time with, happy. We were almost getting to the stage of going out, but I found out last night she went to a party, got smashed, and hooked up with a guy I work with (she works with me too).

Now, I can't bear the thought of having to work with them on the same shift, especially cause this guy knew I was going to ask her out. Right now, I feel numb, upset and completely pissed off at them both. Do I have a right to feel this way if we never were going out? I don't get exactly why I feel so bad about this, but any advice as to getting over it would be great.

It sounds like your relationship with this chick was mostly in your head and she didn't have a clue what was on your mind. It doesn't seem like you lost much really. Be happy this guy stepped in and showed this girls true character...a $lut. You missed the bullet, be happy.

Is this girl supposed to sit and wait, somehow knowing that you MIGHT decide to ask her out? The guy should honor some relationship you and her (might) someday have? You have no cause to be angry at either. Unless you have remained chaste, waiting until you marry to have sex, and expected your mate to be a virgin, then what prevents you from asking her out now? Exactly what does "almost to the stage of going out" mean? You didn't ask, he did. What wrong was done to you?

No one did anything to you. You were sitting around thinking about getting together, they were out and did what two people do. Possibly her hookup was just that.... a drunken hookup. So first of all shed the wuss boy thing. Just act like you don't care one bit. Women like confidence. Ask her out point blank.

Yea, I would be really pissed off at them. Are you sure that it happen or is someone trying to start rumors? I would stop talking to them. Maybe start flirting with the hotest chick you work with all the time. Maybe that will piss them off!
