I have that too.

I have a recurring dream that I am going back to school and I'm behind in all my classes and I'll never pass.

Maybe look to your life. Is there anything personally or professionally you feel you're failing at? Is there something lacking? Are you afraid something is going to happen?

Dreams are usually just symbols for what's going on in our lives.

I am not a psychologist. I am a person who is mentally ill, and has a few college credits in psychology. Life has been my best teacher and it makes me wonder if you don't have some nagging guilt or doubt that you deserved to pass those finals. Was there perhaps a class you skipped one too many times. Perhaps an essay that wasn't up to par? Thats what I would look for something in that last year of high school. Something that makes you think you didn't diserve to graduate.

some of your dreams will relate to something in life needing help in. you may dream of corn alot if you were born in a corn farm and moved out to the city at a later stage.

in my case high school has the pressures of having to pass. if the dream was recurring that i am "presently" under pressure of some sort.

High school and exams for you may mean something different so the answer will vary.
