Depends what you're writing it on, and what you plan to do to gather your data and the statistical methods you use to analyse it. I wrote mine on the effect of violence in the media on differing age groups. The way in which it is presented and that it is all ordered and sectioned correctly goes a long way in getting you noticed for all the right reasons to. You no doubt will have a member of the teaching staff as a mentor so I suggest you use them as much as you can, thats what theyre there for. Just be well read on your chosen area and lots of detail about everything you cant go wrong, hope this helps!

You can spell psychology - good start. Basically, psychology is the study of the human mind. What we believe. What we believe determines how we behave or our behaviour pattern. Our beliefs are determined by factors from our past and present. This includes things that have happened to us and things we have been told. Psychological problems are generally seen as problems that affect the way we live our lives or have a detrimental effect. An event we experienced in our past, possibly in childhood could for example make us afraid or even phobic now. Even something a parent or someone we saw as a role model could pass on a phobia by just telling us about their experience at the dentist or hospital for example. Even watching a movie or reading a newspaper affects what we believe. Believing what is true, is not always to our advantage. People drive down the motorway at 70 MPH and see accidents - but believe that it won't happen to them. They believe their driving skills are such that they can avoid such accidents. However, after an accident - they can become too afraid to even go on a motorway. Who has the more realistic belief? You will also need to know how society has an affect on us as individuals. So in studying psychology - I've become interested in sociology too. There is so much to understand about the things that effect our psyche, or beliefs and behaviour - you can find new things constantly to research. The Internet is having a profound effect on what people believe. Some of it good as we begin to communicate with other cultures on a personal level. Some of it bad - because it brings risks, especially to children. Good subject to study. Lots more to research.

Make sure it's original, make sure it's not likely to be considered wrong by medical ethics standards (*may* possibly have happened to me :), make sure you use the correct statistical analysis methods. Write a decent abstract - one or two paragraphs - outlining your proposal and show your tutor before beginning anything. cite absolutely every peice of research you call on, and above all have fun. Oh, and be nice to any subjects you use, and don't make results up - disproving something is as valid as proving it.

If you haven't discovered it yet, then I guess it will happen again next year. Your question shows the shallowness of your thinking train, so how could you function at all in psychology. You should be able to guide and direct others in their search for solace, reconstruction or consolation. How could someone who has supposedly studied for a period of time asked such a question?
I have to guess that you might be Indian as only their universities produce such ill-eqquipped and ill-prepared students.
