A woman friend of mine told me a “secret”, she told me that women treat each other very bad, and that men had no idea. She got that right, men think that women are extremely united; I was very surprised to hear that. Then I remembered that years ago I saw a documentary on TV about something like that, and on that documentary women said that at work they prefer to have a man as chief than to have a woman as chief. Is this true? Only true answers!

i never saw it that way before but come to think of it, most of my good friends are males. i think i only have 3 women as good friends, lol.

i'll buy the jealousy bit, not on my part but on theirs. i think some women find me intimidating, a constant threat (i wonder if i look like a bf-napper).. but guys gravitate towards me more than girls as far as friendship is concerned. maybe i think more like a man, who knows? but now that you pointed it out, most of my back stabbers are women. an interesting thought.

Yes, this is sad but true, especially among younger women. Behind the scenes and sometimes not so behind the scenes, girls hate on girls. Unless it's something like rape, "extremely united" my @ss.

About the boss thing, I think that all depends on how mature the boss is. It's totally possible to have a great female boss, just as it's possible to have a great male boss. But if the woman boss is the jealous, conniving type, then yes, she will treat her female workers worse than the males ((It can be blatant in a woman's eyes and very unfair. Us women have six senses)). And you won't find this behavior to be so much true among the male bosses and their counterparts. It's just in our nature to be competitive with one another it seems.. but hey, blame it on the hormones, right? Lol.

Me personally.. I don't have many girlfriends at all- I'm very selective, because I've found that most girls tend to be JEALOUS, vain, and controlling (of course there are always exceptions). With guys it's all good. I don't have to worry about any of that bullsh*t petty crap that broads sometimes fight over. Jeez what a bunch of uneeded DRAMA. Life's too short. Guys are just genuine people, and it's easy for me to relax and have a good time around them. I've been like this all my life and I'm no tomboy. Just a normal, funloving gal.

Not certain about the documentary you are citing but I am certain that it is not as cut n' dried as that. There are many women Chiefs and most people agree that it is smarter to have a woman in charge - - - - and personally I have witnessed many groups of women workers happily working with the guidance of a woman boss. Peace.

Most women I know at work said they prefered a male boss to a female. I don't really care either way. I've had mostly female bosses and have had both really good and really bad experiences. I wonder if preferring a male has anything to do with being more comfortable with male authority because you grew up in a home where the father was the leader of the househould. I wonder if women who grew up in single mom homes and respect the way their moms raised them would also prefer a male.

Some women treat women badly, some clearly treat other women like saints. It all depends of the sub-cultural way of thinking that some women have. Their are a lot of bisexual women who'd rather be with women more than men and put women on high pettlestools. So it really depends on the woman. But I have witnessed the ones who treat each other like a cat fight soap opera.

I hate to tell you this but men see many women as being catty...that is trying to put your women friends down to make you look better. I am a biologist and the same thing repeats itself in nature....males trying to dominate males, and females trying to seem more seductive to the males by vanquishing their opposition. This, when applied to wildlife insures that the best male/female produce the 'best' offspring. As humans we realize it isn't so, but we still retain those old vibes from our primordial past. Many of the primitive societies looked on women with respect as being the creators, the awe of childbirth, and the competition to be the supreme FEMALE was fierce, but the role of the female has vascillated over the years.

Oh, that is very true. I used to work with my boyfriends mom, although we worked together, we only saw each other on our lunch breaks, or when I had to take paperwork to her. She had her boss (which was a male) and I had mine (who was a woman) My boss was very vindictive. She would constantly cause trouble with my bf's mom and I. She did nothing but spread rumors and talk behind everyones back. Needless to say, I don't work there anymore, because my relationship with my bf's mom is more important than letting some witch get inbetween us.

Women do not instantly get along just because they are females. Usually it takes something to happen between them for them to get along. It's just our nature.
