Malla is a form of wrestling. It was a form of sports practised by ancient Indians. In its most usual it is called "Malla yuddha". But the smaller version is also called malla.

The schools that teach Malla are called "akhaadaa", which are Indian indeginous sports clubs. One more form of malla that I am aware of, and which is done in Maharashtra, is Malla khambh. The guys do a lot of acrobatics on a wooden pillar in this practice. That's all I know.

If you mean philosophically speaking: " Malla is to one as the soul is to the body. Not to be left intrinsically broken but unbowed in the true sense of the word."
