Depends on where you work, but at my place of employment, you would be paid as if was not your fault you couldn't perform your duties...plus the fact that my place of employment is unionized and they would simply point out that the collective agreement states they get paid.

No.......for a start you would probably get hauled in to 'help with enquiries'....as they put it.....
and secondly I would want to know what was going on and if any of my colleagues were hurt.
