Yes there is GOD, but no he doesn't have magic powers. Power - yes; Magic - no. He is almighty. He created the world and the universe and can destroy it if he wants. But humans are doing that themselves. In everything we do, no matter how big or small, we have a choice between right and wrong. Satan always wants to choose the wrong way because when start doing wrong you keep doing it. He tempts us making wrong seem easier or more rewarding etc. But at the end wrong lands you in trouble eventually. PS. The destruction of the world by man - it's in the Bible - Book of Revelations.

Now if you were God, would you want to hang out with humans? God is supposed to be able to know everything and I am sure he wouldn't like traffic jams, late flights or ATMs with no cash. I am really teasing you, but you should follow your own heart and believe as you wish. I am not Christian but that's not important as you must think for yourself and do as you wish. BUT, may I give a piece of advice. People are very cruel on this site and will insult you no matter what you believe.....scan the answers and it the replies are a few words...they are stupid and abusive...others have more heart-felt answers to help.

Nobody knows. A lot of people claim they know whether or not there is a God and what his/her/its powers are, but the fact of the matter is that nobody ACTUALLY knows for certain. At this point in time, God can neither be proven nor disproven.

"If God did not exist it would be necessary to invent him." Voltaire
"Without God, we cannot. Without us, God will not" Saint Augustine
"If God would give me some clear sign! like making a large deposit in my name at a Swiss bank." Woody Allen
We must be brave enough to declare that every culture must create its own God idea rather than rely upon outworn tradition.

I strongly doubt it
Look at the war and pestilence he is supposedly not responsible for.
Though Christians would have you believe he is a humane being.
Also that he controls every thing from above somewhere.
