Moral values are there to guide us. If you stick to your values even if others scorn at it, you'll likely achieve what you want. You're just not popular to them. Well, we cant have everything.

If you live by your moral values you will likely find more personal happiness. It means giving up keeping up with the Jones' in most cases. It also means accepting your limitations and working within those. I've come to believe that if you're true to your self then you will deal better with all other people and this is a major goal for most people in life. Close relationships are only possible if one is dealing from their true self as well.

Without our moral values one will be rejected in this society. Without acceptance I do not think our achievement (if possible) would be meaningful.
