If you think that the 911 conspiracy theories are unfounded on what do you base your beliefs (or dis-beliefs)?

Have you read many different sources. Are you aware there is a lot of dis- information our there.....Like the pentagon missle crap or the remote control airplane stuff. Do you know that 20 to 30% of the stuff out there is dis-information intentionally diseminated to discredit the real glaring circumstantial evidence Do you base your beliefs on the fact that our governement would never do such a thing. Have you ever heard of Operations Northwoods? Can I at least get you to look at a really impartial website? I am not a wacko conspiracy nut. I am a lawyer and a scholor. There are polls done showing that a good percentage of Americans believe that the true events of 911 havent been told yet. This stuff is slowly entering the mainstream.....Theres a lot of BULL out there but there also is a lot of really provocative evidence .

I suspected something was wrong when the two towers came down so beautifully. When I saw WTC7 come down in a controlled fashion without being hit by a plane, well that really bothered me. Still I was unable to convince myself of anything, for lack of information.

Today, there is no real shortage of information, for those who care to look at it. I took a look at what is available, about a month ago and now I can't understand why our government does not step in and tries to answer some of these concerns: It would put this issue to rest.

The official government story is that 911 was orchestrated by Al Queda, which is lead by Osama bin Laden. The proof our government provided was a video with Osama confessing to the crime. The problem with the video is that the person in the video does not look like Osama bin Laden: see picture.

There are many other factors that do not fit the official story. They include, secondary explosions that were seen, heard, reported, and recorded by firefighters, in and around the buildings.

Molten, beyond red hot, "steel" was video recorded coming out of the South Tower just before it collapsed. Jet fuel does not burn hot enough to turn steel to liquid.

These factors point to a controled demolition of the buildings and thus an inside job. We also have a video recording, where owner Larry Silverstein, admits to demolishing WTC7.

We will not be able to know if 911 was a government cover up, for sure, until we can get our government to conduct an independent investigation, of this tragedy. That may not happen, for the duration of this administration, since it would probably not be, in their best interest. To compound the problem, they can not afford to lose control of the government. Many people are afraid to speak up against this administration, for fear of reprisal. If the situation were to start to get out of hand, the administration could declare marshal law (a police state), on its citizens. There are still many that have not seen beyond the official story: For several years, most of the evidence was swept up.

The majority of hard evidence, that has emerged over the past few years, supports the claim that this tragedy was conducted by our own government. It did this to get the support of congress and the nation, to attack Iraq: Like another Pearl Harbor. Why would they want to do this? You best read it from their own PENAC document. Pay special attention to the section entitled "Creating Tommorrow's Dominant Force" page 50 and the top of page 51, where it states we need a new Pearl Harbor attack to get the ball rolling.

What I think is the American public, in general, have been hiding their heads in the sand (sorry for the pun). The 9/11 attacks need more investigation. There are too many things that don't add up. Would you sit calmly by when you are told that the WTC had just been hit with a plane? My gut reaction would be to excuse myself and get back to D.C. where I was needed, not go into hiding. That's just the start of it, there is more. BTW, you're preaching to the choir when I read the theories. And trust me, more people feel the same way. For those fanatical, closed minded people who hang-on to every word uttered out of this administration proverbial mouth piece, they need a reality check. Not even the rest of the blunders seem to change their minds. Oh well, what can you do but hope that the Neo-cons get voted OUT and SOON.

Unfounded. Lacking foundation. Unsupported by credible evidence.

I fully believe the Bush regime is capable of such self-destructive actions. There's just not sufficient evidence supporting the claim to overcome the first-hand experience and testimony that I've heard from people who were in New York.

Besides, I don't consider it relevant. Whether Bush was responsible or not doesn't change anything. People who support him blindly will still do so. And anyone who doesn't support him blindly has pretty much concluded he is a delusional criminal.

If you someone already admitted to being a rapist and murderer, and you found out that the person may also have committed a second murder, would it really make any difference to you?

Theories are theories are theories. Theories don't change history. Theories don't change the facts of the tragedy. The fact is that many people died for no good reason. The fact is that Americans and people all over the world are becoming fearful of what they don't understand. Instead of worrying about conspiracies in the past, people should be worrying about the present and the future; how to deal with the problems now and how to make the future better. What people believe doesn't matter so much as how they act.

The real question is why are the people in power so shady and have so many ties to terrorist organisations that people wonder if Usama is still an employee of the US, If Bush wanted the war to make money for his family.

Conspiracy theorist will present an actual argument like the thermite and the controlled demo et al

I've seen those crap mockumentaries multiple times. They were utterly unconvincing the first time. Subsequent viewings simply convince me that such videos, like blogs, have very little value.

one why did we do nothing to apprehend any of the four that we had the names of and were warned were coming after us 11 different countries did tell us they were planning a major attack on us

why did it take so long to respond after the first tower was hit
