you listen and let your friend know you are there but you do nothing the parents have to work that out! The only thing you can do is be there!

Let your friend know that it is not their fault. Try to stay close to both parents and never feel like they have to make a choice between them. Many times children feel as though they are at fault for things that happen between adults but they are only children. They will get through this and I know it is rough. Continue to be an ear to your friend and a shoulder to cry on.

"...might be getting..." You don't know, so you shouldn't say anything like that! Plenty of couples go through rough times, argue a lot, and stay together. Stop trying to guess what's going on with your friends parents and be a supportive friend.

that is hard. cause there really isn't anything you can really Do, but just be his friend and listen if you want to. very hard for kids when parents divorce. sort of feels like they divorce you too. he is probably feeling very down and out and is lucky to have you to listen.

first of all - if he knows they might be getting a divorce they should for his sake. obviously things in his house are bad! he isn't sleeping and neither are you...so just be there for him. it isn't his fault . . .and if they are blaming him they need to ...well....he needs a friend...be one!
