I am wanting to go to Jordan and find that flights to Sharm El Sheikh are half the price than to Amman. How would I travel (cheaply) from Sharm to Aqaba? Bus/train and boat....

Any information greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

There are mini-buses - ie winnabago vans - that run across the sinia. You can either grab one in Sharm or Dahab and go to either:

1) Nuweiba and take the ferry. There are two ferries: a slow cheaper one or faster more expensive one

2) Taba, cross over to Israel, catch the bus to Eilat, and catch either a bus to Aqaba or one going near the border. Walk thru the Jordanian border and catch a service taxi to Aqaba.

I did the Taba overland trek with the walk across the border and service taxi to Aqaba. Compared to the ferry, I saved $10-15 each way even with the israeli entrance tax. It took about the same time the slow ferry takes.

FLY TO TABA ON THE ISRAEL BOARDER INSTEAD 10 MINUTES TO GET THERE AND CHEAP FLIGHTS (NO VISA REQUIRED FOR TABA)
WE WENT TO PETA FROM TABA ON A DAY TRIP IT WAS EXCELLENT
