Rather broad vague question but here we go:

Pyramids - of course! Why else go?

In Cairo check out

*Islamic Cairo: the market area, the citadel, the city of the dead (cemetary), Sufi dancing.

*Old Cairo or Coptic Cairo

LUXOR

*Karnak and Luxor Temples on the East Bank

*Valley of the Kings and Queens on the West Bank

*Hatescheput and Ramses III's Temples

ASWAN

*Elephantine Island

*Philea ruins

*Abu Simbel - actually its 3 hours south of here but you can catch a bus or plane from Aswan

* Take a 2 day feluca ride on the Nile

Desert OASISES

*Siwa is the best but there are a handful of others

ALEXANDRIA

MT. SINIA

SHARM el SHeik and DAHAB for red sea diving and snorkling

There are many places to visit, but it depends on your goal for the visit:
1. If it is for entertainment, of course go to the Red Sea "SHARM EL SHEIKH"
2. If the visit is to enjoy Egypt and see it through the different civilizations in addition to entertainment, then u should c the following:
- Pyramids and the sphinx, (take a ride on the camel)
- Visit Cairo Tower
- Visit the Egyptian Museum
- Visit Old Cairo (this includes Khan El Khalili, The citadel - Mohamed Ali Mosque, Al Azhar, Al sultan Hassan and others
- Visit Alexandria, to see the different Roman Areas, also Bibliotique Alexendria
- Visit Luxor and Aswan to see at least the Following:
The Karnak Temple, Edfu Temple, valley of the queens, Ramessium, Valley of the Kings and Abo Simbel
In addition to sharm el sheikh and hurghada
Egypt also has all kinds of entertainment, for example in sports u can practice all sports golf, diving, surfing,...
