I live in England but I remember small town America. Since the 60's it seems to have all but disappeared.

Small town America still exists. We call it "flyover country". Come to the midwest! Really, though, do we want to go back to the 50's when there was segregation, women were frowned at for working outside of the home, there was this horrid cold war thing? Be careful what you wish for...
