Personaly i am a huge raiders fan. and i get alot of crap for it. on of my roomates is a chiefs fan. With brooks at Qb he wont get sacked as much as Collins, he his much more mobil then collins. Also Lamont Jordan is looking to build upon last years totals and have what i think will be a great season. As long has Moss stays healthy, Brooks gets him the ball, and the defence and make a stop or 2 the raiders will be alright. The drafting of huff will help out the secondary quite alot. Last year the raiders had 5 interceptions as a team. Many Db's had 5 interceptions by themselves so that will needs to improve. already in the preseason i believe the Raiders had 7, so things are lookin up. In my not so expert opinion i see the raiders goin 7-9 with maybe 2 wins in the division. an early on to the chargers and possibly one against the chiefs at home. a 7 and 9 season. is a good season after 2 seasons of just 4 wins.

Shell is a solid individual who will help this team. Preseason games tend to mean little overall for predicting a teams performance during the regular season. If the Raiders do better than 4-12 this year I would agree with you that it was Shell that made the difference. I'm not a fan of Brooks and think the Raiders made a mistake bringing him in. I like the Raiders and I respect Shell a lot. I'm not sure this team has the talent overall and the right type of player to contend for the division. When you look at Denver, San Diego, and Kansas City it is hard to see the Raiders with the team they have now competing in that division.

Shell is a positive move but they need more. Brooks at QB is definitely not the answer. I think they'll be 7-9, maybe 8-8 fighting San Diego for last in the West. A bigger question is whether Al Davis will have a little patience with Shell this time around?

Possibly, but don't look for anything better than 8-8 and that is optomistic. Aaron xxxxxxx Brooks as your #1 quarterback? The Garbage Saints couldn't get rid of him fast enough when the Raiders came calling.
